Grassroots initiative to protect environmentally sensitive wildlife habitat and open space along Highway 68 corridor from high density development planned by the city of Monterey and Monterey County. The Friends of Tarpy Flats is a 501(c)3 and is now fundraising to cover legal costs in a lawsuit against the city of Monterey to stop its development plans.
