The Friends of Tarpy Flats is a 501(c)3 and is now fundraising to cover legal costs in a lawsuit against the city of Monterey to stop its development plans.

Safe Ag Safe Schools is more deeply concerned than ever about highly hazardous pesticide use in Monterey County after our meeting
with you on April 1….Two categories of the most health-harming pesticides, fumigants and organophosphates – pesticides that have been banned in dozens of
countries – are increasing in use in Monterey County. Your inaction will not improve that…With brain-harming organophosphates, we see the same disturbing pattern: use is down elsewhere but increasing in Monterey County…In fact, more than a fifth of organophosphate use by pounds in California is concentrated in our county.
